Weigh in Monday!



WEEK #1


Hey Peeps!
I'm so sorry for not posting any encouraging words this week. That will change. I had a very busy week. Anyway, TODAY IS THE DAY!

Please post your percentage of weight loss in the comments section. Also, please post what you have been doing and how you are feeling!

If you had a bad week just start today, we are all going to fail at some point or another but don't let your failures get you down. Pick yourself back up and start fresh TODAY!

  1. Ok, I'll start. I lost 1.76%. If you aren't Aunt Kathie you will do the math and realize exactly how much I weigh. haha I started Tuesday so I'm pretty happy with these results. I heard 2 lbs. a week is a good rate to lose weight. I just tried to stay around 1200-1300 calories this week and I got a Zumba class in (I found out because of my parents strict rules I never fully learned how to "shake my booty") I need to loosen up a little. That was fun though! I also got a couple jogs in and a hard game of volleyball. Just moving around a little more has really helped. My goal this week is to step it up at the gym. I want to work out at least 30 min. every day this week and work on my core too. The P90x ab ripper X is awesome. Ok, hope you all are doing great, please let me know what you are doing!   2. I can only calculate how much you weigh if you put the # of lbs you lost AND the % :) Great job Car! I only lost 0.8% but I'm happy with that. I didn't really exercise and I was in San Francisco with Jess, so I didn't exactly eat great...but I tried to eat better. I'm using my calorie app on my phone to keep track of what I eat this week and I'm going to try and work out atleast 30 min 4 days. Good luck everyone..love you!!!!

  3. Hi everybody! OK, so I'm super excited about this weight loss competition, actually I get excited about any kind of competition but anyways. So I started at 247 pounds (yikes) and in the first week I've lost 5 pounds which is a 2.02% body percent loss. Extremely happy about that and even more excited to loss more. What I'm doing is simple, eat less and work out. Not exactly a new concept is it? I'm trying to eat somewhere in the neighborhood of 1800 calories per day and then I'm working out for an hour a day (1/2 hour on the oliptical and about 30-40 minutes lifting weights). I also am trying very hard to stay away from any kind of dessert which by the way sucks to put it lightly but I know I have to. Good luck everybody and keep going.

  4. Well, I must say that I had an unfair advantage this week as my mom so kindly put it. I lost 2.57% by eating much less due to oral surgery & not being able to eat as much. Been feeling a bit nauseous from the anesthesia. That said, I am also trying to keep my calorie intake at 1200 per day. I'm logging & tracking it on the app Lose It! We can be friends on this app & follow each other if you are an iPhone user. Car - as we go along, will we be sharing weekly weight loss or total weight loss percentages?

  5. Hey Jess! Good job, lets go by weekly percentages and then at the end we will do total percentage of weight loss. We really just want to see your progress so we can encourage each other along the way. I hope more people play along but if it's just us then we'll look HOT and they will NOT! haha Just kidding everyone!!!

    Good job Aunt Kath! I know you lost a little already too so you are on your way. It will feel so good to be able to sit down without a big muffin top hanging over my jeans. Can't wait!!!
